2024 Women's Competition Dates 2024 Comp and Final Days Details

Under 25's Competitions 2024

There are very few entries for the junior competitions at the moment. The entry is open until Monday 9th July.

If you would like to play in either the singles or pairs, please let me know as soon as possible. There is no fee for junior competitions.

If you have already entered, please confirm that you intend to play and, if in the pairs, who your partner will be.

We will make sure that the dates for play are convenient to you all but, due to fixture clashes and international calls, it is unlikely that we will be able to play all of the matches on the provisional dates. We will decide that when we see who is actually going to play.

Go on, have a go!

Important Notice

Qualifications for National Championships have been changed to ensure that only 48 players in total attend Leamington Finals going forward.  This means that the 13 Counties with the most entries in any discipliane will have 2 qualifiers and the remainder will have only one qualifier.

The County will organise the Championships accordingly and therefore Qtr and Semi-Final days may need to be amended once the entries are known and advised to BE.

COMPETITION MATCH RESULTS

NO SCORE CARDS issued... players taking part in Championships and Competitions will need to provide their own score cards for matches, unless at a County run event, such as 2wd Triples Days, Champion of Champions Days and Patrons Day.

The WINNER of Championship and Competition matches must telephone the result to the Area Secretary or Contact as noted on the draw sheets.

Behaviour in Competitions and Matches

Leicestershire has a tradition of fair play and courtesy to opposition players.  Please note that guidelines on behaviour are no longer in the County Yearbook.  These guidelines are noted here and access to a PDF format that you can download and print is available from this page.  It is right and proper for us to mantain a stance on behaviour without resorting to additional rules to those provided in the Laws of the Sport of Bowls and Bowls England Regulations 50-70: Appendix C: Code of Conduct for Competitors in Bowls England National Championship/Competition Finals.  Please note that the nature of Misconduct is covered in Bowls England Disciplinary Regulation 9.

In addition... a guidance booklet is available from Bowls England.  We recommend Clubs purchase copies for New Bowlers as an Introduction to the game.

This booklet has been compiled with the aim of pointing out what is expected of you as a member of your County Organisation and your Club, your general attitude to your fellow bowlers and of course guidance on playing the game.

A document on Behaviour in Support of Fellow Bowlers is available to Clubs and Individuals on the DOCUMENTS & DIARIES page.
